Anna Vater
As a project manager at the international foundation Siemens Stiftung, Anna Vater works at the intersection of STEM education, Open Educational Resources (OER), and community building across Latin America. She leads the regional OER platform CREA, cultivates strong partnerships with education stakeholders, and co-facilitates with key partners such as Ceibal (Uruguay) and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (Chile) co-creative learning spaces like Creatón STEM+ — an Open Educational Practice (OEP) designed to empower teachers as co-creators of inclusive, culturally relevant, and openly licensed learning materials.
At the heart of Creatón STEM+ lies the development of teacher competencies for co-designing, adapting, and publishing Open Educational Resources grounded in the STEM+ educational approach and guided by principles of openness, inclusion and responsable use of generative AI for OER creation. Those OER then are shared with a wider teaching community through the CREA platform.
