AI and OER: Partners in Developing Computational Thinking

In the era of Artificial Intelligence, Computational Thinking is an essential competence for everyone, not only for computer science students. This session aims to present projects that, through Open Educational Resources and Artificial Intelligence, contribute to the development of Computational Thinking in higher education and lifelong learning. The characteristics, methodologies, and both the achieved and expected results of each project will be shared.

Two of the projects to be presented are initiatives coordinated by Tecnológico Nacional de México / TES in Chalco, and the other two by Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Gloria Concepción Tenorio-Sepúlveda holds a PhD in Computer Science. She is a research professor at the Tecnológico Nacional de México / Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Chalco (TESCHA). Dr. Tenorio-Sepúlveda is a Level 1 member of Mexico’s National System of Researchers (SNII). She leads the academic group Applied Engineering and Technology and collaborates with the Interdisciplinary Research Group Reasoning for Complexity (R4C-IRG) at the Institute for the Future of Education - Tecnológico de Monterrey. Her research interests focus on Educational Technology, Open Education, and Artificial Intelligence.
