26.11.2025, 01:00–01:45 o'clock (Europe/Berlin), Yellow Room
In this session, we will explore how STEAM education can become a powerful tool for social transformation when it is grounded in local culture, play, and human connection. Led by Gina Pedraza, founder of ONE Education (Colombia) and creator of Tareópolis, this session invites educators to discover how creativity, exploration, and sustainability can merge into meaningful learning experiences from early childhood.
Participants will experience a participatory workshop where they will design micro–learning ecosystems that integrate science, art, and community knowledge. We will share successful experiences from Colombia and Peru, including the projects AWA, Chakronautas, and Kalaiwa, which connect children’s curiosity about nature and the cosmos with cultural identity and environmental awareness.
The session will open a collaborative dialogue to co-create new ideas for implementing contextual STEAM methodologies in diverse territories, highlighting the role of open educational resources and local alliances as drivers of innovation in early education.

Additional information –ONE Education is an educational organization founded by Gina Pedraza, focused on promoting open, inclusive, and contextualized STEAM learning across Latin America. Through projects such as AWA, Chakronautas, and Kalaiwa, we work with rural and vulnerable contexts in Peru to empower teachers in PRONOEI institutions with creative pedagogical tools. In Colombia, ONE Education develops innovative learning experiences in early education, combining play, technology, and sustainability. We invite participants and organizations to learn more about our ongoing initiatives and explore potential collaborations to strengthen STEAM practices in rural Latin American communities.
