“Humanizing Technology: Developing Digital Intelligence” is a session designed to help participants move beyond basic digital skills and understand how to use technology responsibly, ethically, and meaningfully. It highlights the core dimensions of Digital Intelligence (DQ)—from digital literacy and identity protection to empathy, ethics, and responsible online behavior. The session emphasizes balancing human values with digital innovation, empowering educators, students, and professionals to thrive in a connected world while ensuring that technology serves humanity, not the other way around.

I am Dr. Kiran Lata Dangwal, Associate Professor in the Department of Education at the University of Lucknow. My areas of expertise include ICT-enabled education, educational technology, and social science pedagogy. Over the years, I have authored and edited 24 books, published more than 80 research papers, and developed several MOOCs and OERs, including contributions through UNESCO’s Open Education for a Better World (OE4BW) mentoring program.
At present, I serve as the SWAYAM Coordinator at the University of Lucknow and am also a member of the NCTE OER Sub-Committee. I hold the distinction of being the first female Associate NCC Officer at my university. My work has been recognized with several honors, including the Shiksha Ratna Award, the Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman, and the DGNCC Commendation Card.
