Turn your local health community into a global story!

In this hands-on workshop, we'll explore how open educational practices can be used to support local, community-driven health initiatives. Participants will identify a real-world health-related event, service, or program happening locally to them and transform it into an info flyer/invitation using open tools and openly licensed resources.

Objectives
1. Investigate and identify a local health initiative/event such as free class, walking clubs, or free health screenings
2. Design a clear, accessible, and sharable invitation/info flyer
3. Apply Creative Commons licensing to their material
4. Contribute to a shared global repository

Methods and Activities
1. Meet and Greet
2. Micro-workshop: Learn to find local initiatives, design info flyers, apply open licenses
3. Research and Create: Research a local event and create a sharable flyer using provided template
4. Show and Share: Present the flyers, discuss local initiatives, and contribute to global repository
