Building a sustainable and student-centered textbook affordability program requires strong cross-departmental collaboration. This session will highlight how a community college bookstore and library partnered within a textbook rental program to expand Open Educational Resources (OER) adoption while fostering intentional community engagement. Presenters will share strategies such as open houses, tabling events, awareness campaigns, and leveraging the bookstore website and OER databases to increase faculty and student participation. The session will also explore the role of an OER Steering Committee in ensuring long-term sustainability, advocating for reliable OER titles, and aligning shared goals across departments. Attendees will leave with actionable ideas for strengthening bookstore-library partnerships to support affordability and access.
