Open Metadata Exchange (OME): A decentralized collaboration exchange for OER
26.11.2025, 01:00–01:45 o'clock (Europe/Berlin), Green Room

After more than a decade of experience running OER libraries like OERCommons.org and roughly 20 other libraries, ISKME is spearheading the development of an exchange to facilitate collaboration between OER libraries.

The exchange is designed to be platform agnostic and completely decentralized. Some of the goals of the project are to:

  • Exponentially improve and assist with the search and discovery of OER
  • Leverage the expertise of librarians by fostering collaboration between OER libraries
  • Resiliency - combat link-rot by making resources available in more places

We are in the early stages and are actively working with other OER partners. Come join this session to learn what we are doing and how you can join in on the fun.
