This academic year at Trent University we have hired two student OER ambassadors who are working with the library and the teaching centre to enhance existing OER use. These students work on the development of OER wrap-around materials like test banks, slide decks, and LMS course edits to make it easier on instructors to make the most of the OERs that they have adopted (or want to adopt but haven't yet!). This approach, hopefully, not only helps support the increased adoption of OER, but also raises awareness of the benefits of Open Education in the student and faculty population at Trent.
