26.11.2025, 12:00–12:45 o'clock (Europe/Berlin), Blue Room
In regions affected by conflict, education is often disrupted, yet it remains the strongest foundation for rebuilding societies. This session explores how Open Educational Resources (OER) can make learning more accessible, inclusive, and resilient, especially in fragile contexts.
Drawing from experiences across the Arab region and my work in educational advocacy and youth empowerment, I’ll share how openness can bridge gaps in access and inspire innovative local solutions.
Participants will engage in an interactive exchange to explore how educators, youth, and institutions can co-create and adapt open resources that respond to real community needs. We’ll discuss practical strategies for promoting collaboration, sustainability, and culturally relevant learning through OER.
By the end of this 45-minute session, you’ll gain actionable insights and inspiration to help reimagine how open education can thrive, even in the most challenging circumstances. Together, we can transform learning into a shared tool of hope and opportunity.
