26.11.2025, 00:00–00:45 o'clock (Europe/Berlin), Green Room
In this session, I'll present on the Advancing Biomedical Research & Education in Latin America (abreLA) project. I'll describe how we are training faculty to integrate open science practices into their university courses and promoting the use of accessible technologies, like open hardware electrophysiology recording devices and open source data analysis tools, to foster hands-on learning. I'll also talk about how we share all of the code, data, and class activities we develop as open educational resources (OERs). To date, we have worked with faculty in Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico, with plans to expand in 2026. If you're interested in learning more, we'll have time for Q&A.
